Hello! My name is Brian Kish. I am the founder and owner of Gem State Kayak Rentals, LLC. I have been a whitewater kayaker for over 23 years. It is not just a fun hobby for me, it has become a defining element of who I am. I have been fortunate to kayak all over this great country and around the world.
My wife & I moved to Boise, ID in 2022, from Pittsburgh, PA. In 2021, we sold our house and toured around the western US for 6 months to find our new home. We were looking for great whitewater, skiing, climbing, backpacking, and a safe place to raise a family. Boise check off all the boxes!
I have collected a lot of kayaks over the years and thought it would be great to share them with visiting kayakers looking to paddle the Payette and 4 River Lottery rivers. That is how Gem State Kayak Rental, LLC was born.
